Leah serves as a Client Coordinator at Foster Group located in our West Des Moines, Iowa office. She is responsible for scheduling client and internal meetings, phone conferences, and travel arrangements for Foster Group advisors. She also welcomes clients to the office, accepts incoming phone calls, and assists with various administrative tasks. Leah has worked in the financial industry for 6 years. Prior to that, she held different positions in human services, working with people with disabilities.
Personal
I have a passion for helping people and sharing my gifts with others through service. When circumstances shifted my career from social work to finance, I was able to see the value of serving others in a new way. I am so grateful to be a part of Foster Group and to continue to serve our clients and my colleagues through my role as a Client Coordinator. When I’m not at Foster Group, I enjoy providing respite services for individuals and groups in the disability community. Both of my “jobs” are truly rewarding and bring me so much joy.
I grew up on a farm outside of Pella, IA with my two wonderful parents and three amazing brothers. I love returning to the farm often to visit my family and friends and enjoy the outdoors, as well as the simplicity of life in the country. In my free time, you can find me traveling and exploring new places, connecting with friends and family over coffee or a new restaurant, or cheering on one of my favorite sports teams. You might also find me taking up a new hobby, such as knitting chunky blankets or container gardening. I also love growing and connecting with the young women in my life group at church.
