Dan Giles is a Business Development Associate on Foster Group’s Business Development Team in the West Des Moines, IA office. As one of the first people prospective clients connect with, Dan is dedicated to creating a warm and welcoming introduction to the firm. Whether meeting virtually or in person, he takes time to listen and understand each individual’s story and what matters most to them. His goal is always to ensure people feel valued and heard from the moment they begin to engage with Foster Group.
Dan truly enjoys being part of what he considers Foster Group’s “welcoming committee.” He believes that the first interaction sets the stage for the entire client experience, and he embraces the opportunity to help people feel comfortable and confident as they explore a relationship with the firm. Dan then helps identify the advisor who will be the best fit for a positive relationship for years to come.
Before joining Foster Group in 2026, Dan spent five years in the financial services industry. Throughout those years, he developed a deep appreciation for how meaningful guidance, empathy, and clear communication can positively shape a client’s experience. Those insights strengthened his belief that Foster Group’s structure and culture are uniquely built to support individuals and families with exceptional clarity, compassion, and integrity.
Dan is passionate about sharing the Foster Group story, one that holds personal significance for him and his family and helping people discover what makes the firm’s approach so special. He finds great purpose in welcoming potential clients, building genuine connections, and helping them take their next steps with confidence.

I am grateful to work at a company that I am proud to represent both in my community and beyond. Before joining Foster Group, I often heard that Foster Group was a truly special place. Today, I can wholeheartedly say that I feel that difference every time I walk into the office. I am blessed to be in a role that allows me to connect with and serve clients in a way that feels true to how God designed me. It brings me great joy and satisfaction to know that this helps me make a meaningful impact on people’s lives. I’m honored to do this work alongside a team I deeply respect and am proud to recommend.
When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me spending time with my wife and son or getting together with extended family. We enjoy simple things like neighborhood walks, cooking at home, and being outside as much as possible. I’m also an avid golf and hockey fan and enjoy staying active, especially when it means unplugging and enjoying the outdoors.
