Connor Hoeft serves as an Associate Advisor at Foster Group, partnering with clients to support their long‑term financial well‑being. In this role, he supports the development and implementation of tailored financial plans and ensures that clients receive attentive, high‑quality service. Connor earned his Finance degree from the University of Iowa in 2021. His passion for personal finance deepened during college and early in his career, driven by a desire to help others make confident, well‑informed financial decisions. Before joining Foster Group, he gained experience as a software sales representative and, later, as a corporate financial analyst for a Des Moines–area insurance company.
Personal
I was born and raised in the western suburbs of Chicago, in a home that shaped much of who I am today. People often say that “more is caught than taught,” especially when it comes to what we learn from our parents. From mine, I learned the importance of a strong faith in Jesus and the responsibility of stewarding the resources God has entrusted to me.
My wife and I met through our business fraternity at the University of Iowa and after graduating, we chose to move back to the area where she grew up. We now both call Des Moines home and feel deeply grateful for the community that surrounds us. Times spent with our friends, family and church are our favorite parts of every week, month, and year. We’re in a life stage that allows us to celebrate nearly every holiday, wedding, and milestone with the people we love. Whether it’s a road trip back to Illinois or a flight down to Florida, we make it a priority to spend time with the people who matter most to us.
When I’m not working, I do my best to stay active. Jogging, pickleball, and golf are my latest favorites, even if I don’t have the stats to back it up. I simply enjoy staying active, working up a sweat, and having fun while doing it.
I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve clients at Foster Group, and I’m energized by learning from my colleagues and helping families.
