WEST DES MOINES, IOWA – On April 24, 2025,  Bank Iowa and Foster Group are pleased to announce that they have established a strategic relationship to offer a comprehensive array of wealth management services to the bank’s farm, family and business clients.

The $2 billion Bank Iowa, a leading independent agriculture bank and the second-largest family-owned bank in the state, evaluated several wealth management firms before working with Foster Group.

According to Bank Iowa President & CEO Jim Plagge, “Values alignment is nonnegotiable anytime we plan to serve clients collaboratively with another group. Across many years of admiring Foster Group’s approach to business, it’s clear their team and ours share a people-centered mindset and a bring-your-best attitude to all we do for the Iowans we serve.”

Foster Group’s comprehensive suite of wealth management services provides a strong complement to Bank Iowa’s robust banking solutions, empowering the bank to guide clients through today’s increasingly complex financial journey. As a fiduciary, Foster Group also ensures every piece of advice is rooted in an individual client’s best interests.

Foster Group brings a holistic approach to wealth management, offering more than financial planning and investment management. The firm’s services include guidance on preserving and protecting wealth, philanthropic giving, insurance analysis and consulting and legacy planning — something that is of particular value to the thousands of farm families and ag businesses served by Bank Iowa. Foster Group’s team-based, non-commission approach — paired with its multi-generational employee ownership — reinforces the firm’s commitment to remaining as durably independent as its new partner, Bank Iowa, for generations to come.
