Brittany Heard, CFP®, CKA®, CFT™, CDFA®

Professional

Brittany Heard, CFP^®, CKA^®, CFT™, CDFA^®, is a Lead Advisor at Foster Group. She works with Foster Group clients to help them define and pursue their financial goals. Brittany joined Foster Group in 2014 and enjoys helping clients make wise decisions with money. She serves clients in our Signature Wealth offering. Brittany founded Foster Group’s Invested in Women initiative, because of her passion for assisting female clients.

In addition to being a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^®professional, Brittany earned her certification as a Kingdom Advisor, providing Biblically based wisdom and counsel to clients. In 2019, she became one of the first Foster Group employees to obtain the Certified Financial Therapist™ designation. She also holds the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst^®designation and enjoys working with independent women.

Personal

During college, I was a hurdler on the UNI Track & Field team. I learned about training hard to succeed in both athletics and academics. I also learned a great deal about weight training and proper exercise and love encouraging others to maintain healthy lifestyles.

I met my amazing husband at a college church group, and we were married in 2011. We enjoy running, cycling, lifting weights, and playing disc golf. We also enjoy attending Minnesota Vikings games, as well as attending the Drake Relays every spring. We have two boys who love being active, and we enjoy spending time together as a family.

When I am not exercising or spending time with my family, I enjoy reading and volunteering. I am learning to take the words of Paul to heart, “If you do anything, do it all for the glory of God” (1 Corinthians 10:31). I have a wonderful church and family to come alongside me in my journey to become more like Christ. I also serve as Board President for Freedom for Youth, an organization in Des Moines that empowers Iowa youth to lead transformed lives.
