Generational Wealth Distribution
Federal Reserve data from the fourth quarter in 2025 shows Baby Boomers and earlier generations holding approximately $115 trillion in assets, while Gen X and Millennials together hold about $80 trillion. These assets, roughly distributed among $40 trillion in equities and mutual funds, $23 trillion in real estate, $19 trillion in pensions, $10 trillion in private businesses, and $24 trillion in other assets, are expected to move into the hands of younger generations over time.
