As an Advisor at Foster Group, Jake Kinnetz helps individuals and families make wise financial decisions with confidence. He works closely with clients to simplify complex financial topics, develop personalized strategies, and stay focused on what matters most to them. Jake values building long-term relationships and serving as a trusted guide through life’s financial transitions and opportunities.

What motivates you in the work you do each day?

Money impacts so many important decisions, and it’s rewarding to walk alongside clients, help them navigate life’s transitions, and ultimately spend less time worrying about finances and more time focused on what matters most to them.”

Experience & Community

Jake earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Iowa, along with a Certificate in Risk Management and Insurance. Prior to joining Foster Group in 2021, he worked for a financial advisory firm in the Twin Cities, gaining experience in client service, financial planning, and investment management. Jake holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^® certification and is passionate about lifelong learning to better serve clients. He is also actively involved in his local church, where he enjoys serving and investing in his community.

Beyond the Office

Jake lives in the Des Moines area with his family. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying active, hunting, and cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes and Green Bay Packers.
