Jake Kinnetz is a Senior Associate Advisor at Foster Group. In this role, he assists with the delivery and implementation of financial plans and meets client service needs.

Before joining Foster Group, Jake worked as a Case Manager for a financial group in St. Paul, MN. In this role, he retained relationships with clients by being a main point of contact on behalf of the advisors, actively managing clients’ investment portfolios, and ensuring clients’ financial needs and questions were taken care of proficiently. Jake graduated from the University of Iowa with a BBA in Finance and a Risk Management and Insurance Certificate.

Personal

I was born and raised in Waterloo, IA and graduated from the University of Iowa. After graduation, I decided to move to the Twin Cities to help plant an on-campus ministry, The Salt Company, at the University of St. Thomas. On this church plant, I met my wife, and we decided to move to the great state of Iowa. In my free time I enjoy serving my local church, spending quality time with family and friends, working out, golfing, biking, and being outdoors.

The financial services industry is appealing to me because every day I have a unique opportunity to serve clients and individuals in an extraordinary way. It’s beyond great to work for a company like Foster Group that is client focused, mission driven, forward looking, and most importantly – where the company core values align with my own.
