My Background
Professional
Nathan Buckallew is a Portfolio Management Associate at Foster Group. His primary duties include managing client portfolios through periodic rebalancing, investing new contributions, and making cash available for distributions. He is very passionate about investing and how it can be used to encourage lives of meaning and generosity. Nathan uses this passion to ensure clients’ portfolios are best aligned with their goals.
Prior to Foster Group, Nathan worked in wealth management and retirement planning. In these positions he was responsible for supporting client relationships, creating and implementing financial plans, trading client portfolios, and account opening/transferring procedures.
Personal
I grew up in central Iowa, surrounded by an incredible network of family, friends, and coaches. My parents instilled in me the values of faith, hard work, respect, love, and selflessness. It is truly an honor to work for an organization like Foster Group, which shares so many of those same values.
Baseball has always been a big part of my life. From playing baseball in high school and college and coaching baseball at the high school and collegiate levels, a ball and glove have never been too far out of reach. I am fortunate enough to be the Head Baseball Coach at Johnston High School. Being able to stay around and give back to the game that has meant so much to me and countless others is an honor I hold in the highest regard.
Outside of work and baseball, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, bowhunting, playing golf, basketball, pickleball, running, reading and, of course, watching more baseball.
