Melissa Mgana is a Client Coordinator at Foster Group. With a natural ability to connect with others, Melissa brings warmth, attentiveness and a service-minded approach to each interaction. She works closely with clients, advisors and team members to coordinate the details that help each day run smoothly and create a positive experience from the moment someone connects with Foster Group.

What motivates you in the work you do each day?

I’ve always found meaning in helping others and building genuine relationships. Whether supporting students earlier in my career or serving clients today, I value opportunities to make a positive difference in someone’s experience.

Experience & Community

Before joining Foster Group, Melissa spent nearly 10 years working in special education. During that time, she developed meaningful relationships with students, supported them as they worked toward their goals and discovered how much she values being of service to others. She brings that same patience, compassion and people-first approach to her work at Foster Group.

Melissa earned a Bachelor of Science in Community Health Education from Iowa State University.

Beyond the Office

Melissa is part of a close-knit family and is a proud mother of four. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors, cycling, running, gardening and photography. She also loves traveling both nationally and internationally, experiencing different cultures and sampling traditional foods along the way.
