Janet Hircock provides administrative support to the entire firm. Her main duties are scheduling client and internal meetings, phone conferences, and any related travel for Foster Group team members. She also serves as backup in answering calls and welcoming visitors to the office. Describing these duties, she says, “It’s like working on a big jigsaw puzzle every day, and it’s exciting when all the pieces fit together.”

Janet graduated from the American Institute of Business with an Executive Legal Secretarial degree and worked as a legal secretary for 16 years before coming to Foster Group in 1996. That experience helped her recognize her ability to keep things orderly and organized, as well as her desire to help people.

I am passionate about people and relationships. A number of years ago my husband and I helped establish a church in the small town where we live. Aside from raising three children to be successful, happy adults, that has been the most rewarding thing we have ever done, as we have seen many lives changed for the better. My most fulfilling times are spent with friends and family, which happily now includes grandchildren. I feel very fortunate to be able to spend my days at the office with people I truly enjoy who share a common desire to help people achieve their goals and dreams.

My family and I enjoy traveling, which has given me experience in my work organizing travel for members of the Foster Group team. Given my desire to keep things orderly, I am one of those people who read instruction manuals; but if I could only recommend one book for people to read, it would be the Bible. Even though it has many elements of an instruction manual, it is also rich with other wisdom for living. While not necessarily biblical, one of my favorite quotes is, “Life isn’t tied with a bow, but it’s still a gift.” At Foster Group, we see a lot of people in a variety of situations; our mission is to help people “unwrap” all of the good things that are out there for them.
