A Good Read

A couple years ago, a friend and leader in our industry,Brent Brodeski, the CEO of Savant Capital Management, suggested I pick up a copy of Simon Sinek’s book, Start with Why.  While I am not an avid reader (though the thought is very appealing!), this is a book I couldn’t put down and over the past 36 months, I have referred to it over and over again.  The core concepts Sinek articulates have affected the way I think both personally and professionally.  I have even started to change some behaviors which, in the end, is probably my main barometer for impact.  If some event, interaction, relationship, experience, book causes me to change my behavior, then I know it was relatively high on the impact scale.

If you want a good pre-cursor to the book check out this TED talk:

The talk is excellent; if your interest is sustained, jump on Amazon and get the book.  I would love to hear your thoughts on it.  Enjoy.
