Unemployment Prevents Recovery? Not so Fast....

The statistics on national unemployment still look pretty grim. Conventional wisdom says the economy will do poorly until more people find work; more people with jobs, more disposable income, faster economic recovery. Brian Wesbury, the featured speaker at our October 2009 Wise Wealth Lecture Series event, points to instances where this conventional wisdom proved false in the past, and says employment is always the last indicator to turn positive after a period of recession.
