Avoiding Jail Time

Ever play Monopoly?  You know that space you land on, or that card you pick that directs you to, "Go Directly to Jail, Do Not Pass Go, Do Not Collect $200"?  Not fun, nor did the chuckle from your competition add to your enjoyment.  If you don't have a will in place, or haven't reviewed yours in years, please follow those same instructions - just replace "jail" with, "your preferred estate planning attorney."

I recently met with a middle-aged couple who have several children and no estate planning documents whatsoever.  Upon that discovery, I contemplated stopping the meeting and driving them to a trusted estate planning
