Fiduciary Role
Foster Group is committed to acting as a fiduciary for the benefit of and in the best interest of our clients, avoiding both real and perceived conflicts of interest.
The Centre for Fiduciary Excellence (CEFEX) is an independent global assessment and certification organization that works closely with investment fiduciaries and industry experts to provide comprehensive assessment programs to improve risk management for institutional and retail investors. As a certifying organization, CEFEX provides an independent recognition of a fiduciary's conformity to a defined set of Fiduciary Practices. It implies that a fiduciary can demonstrate adherence to the industry's best practices, and is positioned to earn the public's trust. This registration serves investors who require assurance that their investments are being managed according to commonly accepted best practices.
Foster Group was granted a CEFEX Certificate of Registration for conformity to all Fiduciary Practices for the Investment Advisor Certification in August of 2007, and is subject to annual reviews by an independent third party firm in order to maintain this registration.
In addition to attaining a CEFEX certification at the firm-level, Foster Group has six employees; Ed Green, Ross Polking, Kent Kramer, Brad Rempe and Jon Evans, who have attained the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) designation. Accredited Investment Fiduciary® training is focused on absorbing the Prudent Practices, their legal underpinnings, and how to apply them within fiduciary policies and procedures. The course instructs investment fiduciaries on how to fulfill their duties to a fiduciary Standard of Care.
