Personal Thoughts
Family and faith are my passions. My beautiful wife and three children make each day a God-given joy. Coaching youth sports, church and community involvement, running, and athletics in general provide a snapshot of my other interests away from Foster Group.
From a reading perspective, I spend the majority of my time in the Bible. This serves as the core of my life, beliefs, values and what drives me to be better. I really enjoy history, as well, and have great admiration and respect for our military service men and women. “The Longest Day,” written by Cornelius Ryan is a documentary/story of D-Day, June 6, 1944. It details our soldiers’ sacrifices, made to restore and protect the freedoms we enjoy today. This book creates the utmost in appreciation, humility and a definition of true courage.
I am often inspired by simple things in life and the desire to pursue greatness in everything we do. Someone once said, “The person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person doing it.” As Paul writes in Scripture, “In everything you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord – not for men.” We have a calling during our short time on earth to fulfill God’s purpose in our lives and my prayer is that I and my family endlessly pursue His plan.
As Yoda once said, ”Do or do not, there is no try.” My team at home and at Foster Group choose to “do”!
