Professional Biography

Marcus Iwig, CPA, is an Associate Advisor at Foster Group. In this role, he assists with the delivery and implementation of financial plans and client service needs.

Marcus spent four years at Farm Bureau Life Insurance Company as an Investment Accountant and an Accountant in the Cost-Benefit-Analysis area. Before that he worked two years at a Big Four accounting firm where he gained experience in both audit and tax practice.

Marcus graduated from Iowa State University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He also obtained a Masters in Accounting from Iowa State in 2005.

Personal Thoughts

Faith and family are the center of my life. I live out each day alongside my beautiful wife, Jamie, and we have recently been blessed with twin sons, Ryan and Jackson. I cherish the big smiles and laughter that I’m greeted with each night and love to watch the boys grow and learn every day.

Jamie and I enjoy serving together at our church youth group and have been blessed by the numerous kids and sponsors we’ve had the opportunity to serve with. Our free time is filled with lots of parks, stroller rides, and visits with grandparents. When time allows our favorite thing is to enjoy a meal and games with family or friends. Our family and friends play a big role in our lives; they have supported us and challenged us and we treasure those relationships and always enjoy any opportunity to share time with them.

My favorite quote is by Frederick Buechner, “The place where God calls you is the place where your deep gladness meets the world’s deep hunger.” I’m grateful to be at Foster Group where I’m able to combine my faith and God-given passion into serving our clients every day. I’m very passionate about helping others reach their financial goals and doing whatever I can to reduce the complexity that often blocks the way to those goals.
