Professional Biography
Leslie Nichols, Client Services Team Leader, serves as the primary liaison between the custodian of our clients’ assets, our clients and Foster Group’s internal staff. In this role, Leslie is responsible for managing different types of account activity including account establishment and maintenance, account features, deposits and withdrawals, broker-to-broker transfers, and charitable giving. Also core to Leslie’s responsibilities is her representation of the Client Services Team in many internal projects, including our ongoing commitment to process improvement.
Her professional career began in the Human Resources field, where she was responsible for all facets of staff recruitment and employee benefit administration. She advanced in the employee benefit arena by developing and managing the process to administer COBRA benefits, tax-free spending accounts and disability claims. Leslie’s communication skills and experience working with the details of governmental regulations and tracking information enables her to effectively serve both the clients and staff of Foster Group.
Leslie received her Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Kansas with an emphasis in organizational communications. As a way of cultivating her interest in communications, she led orientation classes for incoming college freshman and took part in the university theatre.
Personal Thoughts
My husband and I work on a steady stream of improvement projects for our 1930’s Craftsman-style brick home. I confess, I owe a debt of gratitude to HGTV for my inspiration. Unfortunately, the 30-minute episodes create an unrealistic expectation for the speedy completion of a project!
My passion for theatre has been a long-time companion. My convenient outlet for the performing arts has most often been the local movie theatre, where I rarely miss a romantic comedy or inspirational drama. “The Blind Side’, a recent favorite, tells the compelling story of how one person made a huge impact by having the courage to do the right thing regardless of the consequences. The theme of this film is demonstrated in Foster Group’s core value of Integrity which we define as ‘doing the right thing, no matter what the cost’.
My favorite quote was once delivered by a man, who like me, shared a love for the theatre. Ronald Reagan said, “It’s surprising what you can accomplish when no one is concerned about who gets credit.” Foster Group truly exemplifies this principle every day. I am privileged to work alongside so many talented, humble team members who share a singular desire to serve our clients with care, respect and excellence.
