Personal Thoughts
I’m passionate about client service and helping others work towards their financial and life goals. Helping people as they’re on life’s journey and seeing others realize their dreams gives me a great sense of fulfillment. One of my favorite books is The American Dream by Dan Rather- it’s an inspiring book about several American’s realization of their American dream. Everyone’s path is different and the book celebrates the diversity of individual dreams and the journey that those individuals took.
As a working mother of two young children, I have a great appreciation for keeping my goals concise and for focusing on simplifying life as much as possible. My favorite quote from Marshall Field sums up much of what I try to remember on a daily basis; “Things to remember: 1) The worth of character, 2) The improvement of talent, 3) The influence of example, 4) The joy of origination, 5) The dignity of simplicity, 6) The success of perseverance.” I feel that many of Mr. Field’s reminders apply to the world of planning and investments. As with many things in life, it seems that a thoughtful, intentional, and patient approach provides the most peace of mind.
Our family loves to spend time outdoors and we spend as much time as we can on the water, preferably with a fishing pole in hand. With a young and growing family, we’ve found we still enjoy the same things, only our excursions are much less about fishing and more about enjoying family time together.
