Professional Biography
Josh Van Heukelom is Foster Group’s Information Technology Administrator. He oversees all our technology-related issues, including maintenance, security, updates, and system innovation. Josh earned an undergraduate degree in Management Information Systems with a minor in Computer Science from the University of Iowa. He also holds an M.B.A. in Entrepreneurship from the University of Missouri – Kansas City. Josh has designed and written software for the healthcare, biotechnology and insurance industries. His broad education and experience help Foster Group utilize technology strategically and efficiently. Josh’s knowledge, gained from working in different industries, has enabled Foster Group to use technology at a much higher level.
Personal Thoughts
In my spare time, I like to spend time outdoors with my wife Brenda, and our three children, Ashley, Addison and Aaron. Outdoor time is spent on walks to the park and bigger adventures to the Colorado Rockies for hiking and skiing. When I have some time alone, I like to sneak out to the course for a quick round of golf. My family is also very active at Timberline Church. My favorite quote, by Jackson Browne, is, “Our character is what we do when we think no one is looking.” This quote is a guiding principle as I navigate my work and personal life. As I encounters tough choices, it forces me to be personally accountable to my decisions.
