Janet Hircock is Foster Group’s Executive Assistant. She provides administrative support to the firm, particularly to Jerry Foster and Mark Stadtlander. The balance of her time is spent scheduling internal meetings, phone conferences, client meetings, and any related travel for the entire firm. She also assists in editing “Vectors & Viewpoints,” the firm’s newsletter, and serves as backup answering client calls and welcoming clients visiting the office. Janet graduated from the American Institute of Business with an Executive Legal Secretarial degree and worked as a legal secretary for 16 years before coming to Foster Group. This experience helped her recognize her ability to keep things orderly and organized, as well as her desire to work with people. She enjoys her work at Foster Group, and says, “It’s like working on a big jigsaw puzzle every day, and it’s exciting when all the pieces fit together.”
I am passionate about people and relationships. Several years ago my husband and I helped establish a church in the small town where we live. Aside from raising three children to be successful, happy adults, this has been the most rewarding thing we have ever done. My family and I enjoy traveling, which has given me experience in my work organizing travel for Foster Group team members. Given my desire to keep things orderly, I am one of those people who read instruction manuals; but if I could only recommend one book for people to read, it would be the Bible. It gives me strength and conviction to help me live everyday life. One of my favorite quotes is, “Life isn’t tied with a bow, but it’s still a gift”. At Foster Group, we see a lot of people in a variety of situations; our mission is to help people “unwrap” the good things that are there for them, no matter what their situation.
