Professional Biography
Bart Banwart, CPA, CFP®, is a Portfolio Analyst with Foster Group. Bart participates in the management of client portfolios through periodic rebalancing, investing new contributions and making cash available for distributions. His systematic approach and attention to detail are valuable assets in reviewing client portfolios. Bart is a graduate of Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa, with a degree in accounting. Prior to joining Foster Group, he was employed as an auditor and tax preparer in a private accounting practice. Bart’s accounting and tax experience are used to provide expertise in tax management and planning for clients.
Personal Thoughts
Away from the office, I enjoy spending time with my wife and four sons. My younger two sons are identical twins and I continue to have trouble telling them apart. The twins took 2nd place at the State Fair “Most Look Alike” contest. I coach youth sports, serve as a leader in my church’s AWANA program, and officiate high school football and basketball. Coaching youth sports gives me the opportunity to meet my sons’ friends and instill the values of integrity, humility, accountability, and respect in a fun-filled, active environment. These values match the values Foster Group strives to uphold. I also enjoy serving as the treasurer for both my local church and church district.
